K and N Filter Install on Gen 3

In the install docs it says to disconnect the battery during install, is this really necessary?

I didn't and mine seems to be working fine! Don't really know why you would need to do that anyway.....may just be one of those "canned" statements that they put in everything for liability purposes.:lmao:

About the only reason I could think of that would make disconnecting the battery a reasonable thing to do is the PCM reset. When you change to a high-flow filter, it "might" make sense to have the computer reset so that it re-learns with the new filter in place.
