Keys locked in GEN 3 (alarm on)

closed the door with the keys in and it locked itself and turned the alarm on!

Any idea's without going to dealer for key? Customer here to pick up car

How does a vehicle "lock itself"? I have not had this experience on my Gen IIIs.

Gotta it figured out and could happen to YOU:
1) Battery must have gone low or goofy.
2) automatically went into alarm mode.
3) I suggest hide-a-key on the underside frame.
4) You can unlock with the secret key switch
by drivers door.
5) We did not have the extra key SO,
6) We used a long stainless Welding tig rod to pull the
keys out of the ignition and then flip them over then
press the unlock button, while they were on the seat.
Alls well that ends Well.

its not a button. its a key cylinder located under the driver mirror. since you have an 03 i would recommend putting some oil in there as for they get sticky over time.
