There isn't a more ultra defensive, close minded, nut swinging car forum in the world than the corvette forum you linked to. You merely have to mention the word "Viper" and 3/4 of them go into blind rage. One of my favorite pastimes is posting there about the Viper, and listen to all the bull**** flow in from clowns who have never even sat in a Viper, nevermind driven one. Now that the Viper is king of the hill, they are back to claims of how much better looking, more trunk space and great gas mileage they have on their cars.

One reason (among others) why I bought a Viper was I took a quick count of how many Vettes vs. Vipers I see going to and from work each day. I did it for a week. I live about 15 miles through town each direction. What I found was about 10 Vettes per day versus zero Vipers during the whole time. Need I explain more?

I couldn't care less what the Viper to Vett ratio is. Dodge could sell one million Vipers a year since 1992 for all I cared.

I bought it and track it for feel and performance. Everything else is about the Viper just a perk or a nuisance. Thankfully the nuisances are few...so far.
