MGW radio knob

Just had to drill out (deeper) my MGW radio knob to make it sit far enough down on the radio post of my 2005 (otherwise, it stuck out too far) ... happen to anyone else?

The knob was designed for the original SRT-10 radio with a push-in power/volume button (top pic).

I put my knob on with no problem and didn't have to drill anything out. You probably just got a bad one.looks good though.

I think that explains it ... it just stuck out too far at first on my '05 radio ... I drilled it about a 3/16" deeper with a 15/64 bit, and now it looks fine.
