Midwest Regional Rendezvous only a few spots remain

Today the few remaining rooms which were left on hold at the Holiday Inn Select were released into the general pool. If however, you decide to attend than you can make a call and they will honor the negotiated price if they have a room available. To date we have over 100 participants and only a few spots remain. If you missed the Rendezvous in your area than ou are welcome to come out to the Midwestern event. Take your chance to compete for the final two spots on the National VCA Autocross Team to compete against Team Viper on September 15th in Detroit suburb. Looks like Team Viper representative will be on hand for this event to size up the competition before the finals in Detroit. last years Team Viper #1 driver was on hand in Orlando to spy on the competition and we are going to get the boss at our event.

Viperrick,
what are the rules of engagement for the autox? how many runs, practice laps? Do we get to try the course in our own cars before qualifying in the DC vehicles?

At this point I cannot make any promises but at least 2 practice runs for sure (they will be back to back runs). A lot will depend on how quickly people can negotiate the course and how quickly they stage etc. It looks like we can have two cars on the course at once (it is pretty long). The important part is that everyone gets at least 2 or three runs (back to back) in the Dodge cars. If your question is because you want to know if you have time to goof around with set-ups on your car than i would have to say no. It doesn't really matter because the runs in the Dodge cars are what counts for the grand prize. They are bone stock with stock alignment and tire pressures. If you want to practice than set your car up to stock settings. If autocrossing is what you like than you should have been at our belvidere event this past weekend. Everyone got 10 runs in the span of a 4 hour day. We blow away a local SCCA event in the way of number of runs per hours of time spent at the track.

Make sure to bring along some friends with you from your area.
