Mohawk Lifts, are these things that... bulletproof?

Looking at two posters and came across the Mohawk A7. The cost is 5 g's for a new one. I have an opportunity to buy a used one ~5yrs old for half that price. Do you guys think it's a good deal? The lift is made for commercial use but I kinda want the best available if I'm going to be standing under it and storing another vehicle on top of the Viper. The shipping weight for this "7,000 lb" lift is 2100-2200 pounds vs. 1500 pounds for the typical 8,000 pound two poster out there. More steel is always better.

Mohawk makes the best lifts out there. They are way over engineered. I have owned two of them and never had a problem.
