Movie \"The fast and furious\" is supposed to have a big Dodge Muscle Car

I was reading Autoweek June 18th edition and on page 19 they screened the last 15 minutes of the movie and they reported that the final chase scene involved a big Dodge muscle car.

Anyone have any ideas as to whether there is going to be a Viper in that movie?

I'm a little concerned that since the movie is primarily about Japanese front wheel cars, that there is going to be a triumphant finish in which a mean Viper is beaten.

I looks like a blown charger from the trailer which is on Speedvison. Looks more fun that Driven but definately targetd to the rice rocket drivers. Check out the trailer at The Fast and the Furious

The big Dodge muscle car is a Dodge Charger (1969) with a monster motor sticking out of the hood (cartoonish). Go to their web site and view the trailer. You need Flashplayer to view most of the site, but when you do you will see they quote the Charger with a top speed of 145, 0-60 of 4 seconds, and quarter mile in 11 seconds. The car which will undoubtedly beat it is the Supra Turbo, quoted at 650 hp, 0-60 of 4.4, and quarter mile in 11 seconds (sorry gang, 650 in a Supra Turbo should be in the 10's at the least). Now, I won't spoil the ending as far as the Dodge goes, but every trailerI have seen shows the Dodge biting it - upside down.

Should be a fun movie and I will be seeing it alongside all of the Supra guys here in town. Should be fun!
