Like the pictures. I always like the NSX but it is starting to look a bit dated. It was between that or the Viper and I just could not see spending $90K on a Honda although they are amazing to be in. They are so low to the ground.

I like the NSX except for the backend. Thats what always looked so dated to me

As most of you know I had a '98 RT/10 before I got the NSX. As for why I got the NSX, I was looking for something different (mid-engined exotic) and something very high quality. Price wasn't a big deal to me.
I'm happy with my choice and have no regrets, the only thing I actually kind of miss about my RT/10 was the acceleration, and not even that much.
As a sidenote, I noticed that the Gen III viper is a noticeable improvement over the Gen II in terms of quality and fit and finish. I can really notice the extra effort put into the car.

To me, it's night and day - the SRT-10 looks FAR better than the NSX.

It will be interesting to see what the 2008 NSX will put down HP wise. DC will have its hands full competing with a V10 aluminium frame NSX even if they do roll out a Gen IV in 08.

Yes, the SRT looks great. That being said, I must admit that the NSX was also getting a ton of looks around town..
I have seen that too. Everyone tends to think it is a Ferrari, and Acura even said that is what they built the car for. I guess it was a success. Still not a bad looking car.

Wow, I did not even know that you traded to the NSX. Seems like you like it. What color did you go with? Red or Yellow? LOL! Watch I am wrong and it was something else.

I really like it, it's just a lot different of a sportscar. That being said, I will always have great respect for all vipers.

I had an a 94 nsx for almost 9 years before I got the SRT, and my brother still has my nsx in his garage. It is a GREAT car. If I could afford it, I would have both. They are the opposites of each other IMHO. The nsx sits slow, drives very refined and smooth. The SRT is rough and hot and loud. The seats on the nsx fits you like a glove no matter how big or small you are. One person in my office is 330lb and fit in the nsx (tight but he fit). He could not fit in the SRT. If I kept the nsx, I would supercharge it though. The torque is just not there. If you like to ride a bike, I hear it is very much like that. Nothing sounds better than an nsx screaming till the 8k rmp redline. Both cars are great but very different cars! I would drive my nsx ANYWHERE and everywhere because it is so easy to drive and comfortable. I can't say that with the SRT, but then again, that's the fun of the SRT!

Andy, glad to hear that you are enjoying the NSX. I would love to own one at some point. I wanted one for a daily but that is just too much of a stretch for me right now.

It's a 2000 with the stock wheels. 17" rear and 16" front.

I debated for months between the NSX and Viper. Right now I'm considering an NSX and trying it for a while. Ofcourse, I'd have to sell the Viper first.

It really just depends what you're looking for, they are both awesome but different. Try to find a 97+ to drive.
Andy you don't regret the move? I can't imagine you are too happy going from the 2nd best designed Viper ever(of course the GTS being number 1)to the NSX. Anyway each to there own. I'm curious does your NSX get a fourth of the attention as your RT-10 did?

A lot of people have asked me that question Doug. I actually don't regret the decision, as much as I loved my RT/10. I've actually been very happy with my new car.
I really wanted to try the mid-engined exotic thing, but I also wanted something very reliable. I also love the styling of the NSX, so it was an obvious choice.
As far as how many looks i'll get, you'd be surprised. Even I was surprised. I feel like I get about the same amount of looks, I've been getting a lot of gawkers, especially downtown. The past weekend, I waxed the NSX and took the top off, and I actually got the most stares and waves of any night of driving. So I'd say definitely at least 1/4 of the looks

I'd do that if I were single. My wife has a hard enough time that I have 2 cars with only 2 seats!
I actually found a Monaco Blue NSX with 60k on it, it's a 2000. He's asking 48k for it. I was thjinking about doing a trade for my Viper. He's open to the idea, though I'd like alittle more as far as a deal goes. I was thinking about 50k for my car. It has about 22k on it. What do you guys think?

Hmmm...that's a tough one. With 60K on his odometer, yeah, I'd ask if he's willing to give you two grand...OR you can always ask him for a lower pink slip number
