In last week's post relative to the Luk clutch, did someone say that the alignment tool and the throwout bearing were not Viper compatible? If so, is there a readily available alignment tool available.
I ordered my new clutch from Roe Racing...from his website...
Complete original equipment clutch assembly, includes pressure plate, friction disc, throw-out bearing, pilot bearing and installation tool. Fits all years.
I already have the Luk package and the parts are the same as Sean's package description. i thought someone posted last week that the install tool didn't work.

I had a LUK clutch put in last week. The throwout bearing is different--We put my stock one back in as it was in good shape even with 31K miles. The alignment tool was wrong. The mechanic had a generic alignment tool which worked just fine. I am told any auto parts store sells these generic tools.
From what I am told, the throwout bearing will work, but unlike the factory unit which is the entire assembly, this one must be installed on the slave cylinder.
The throwout bearing worked for me. No problems. The pilot tool was too small in diameter to fit the pilot bearing properly. I modified it by adding material to the diameter and it worked okay.
