?Need some advice??

I am about to do an interior for one of my local club memebers. He has a 98 Silver RT/10 and he has ordered a red interior with black logos on the center console and seats. That parts is easy and decided but the question is....What to do to the outside of the car. He wants stripes and I suggested red to match the interior like this........

One of our other club memebers called me tonight and said that he saw a silver Vette today with a red interior and it look awesome but said that if we used red stripes on the car we would ruin it. Now we are going to use vinyl so that everything is reversable. So what do you guys think red or some other color, Keep in mind the interior will be black seat bolsters with red inserts and the console top will be red as well. Thanks in advance.

It doesn't look bad but Im wondering if the red interior pieces are more accent than primary to the rest of the interior. Wouldn't the stripes be a tad bit much?

He insists that he wants stripes on the car. but now I am second guessing my suggestion to use red stripes because of another club members strong dislike. The interior will not have a full red set up just the seat inserts and the top of the console only. The sides of the console knee bolsters and door panels will be black. BTW you door panels are going to be super sharp and I think I have the soulution to the carpet removal

i favor the factory silver with blue stripe combo.
that would nix the red interior and go with blue inserts.

Jim, I suggested that as it is my favorite stipe combo for the silver car but he did not want blue.

Maybe it's too early on Monday morning, but he has a cognac interior and wants to change it to red and that's why you are going with the red stripes? If he has cognac interior, why would he want to change it, and if it is cognac, which is NOT BROWN, and he wants the stripes, then match it. Red? NG

Paint Black stripes!!! .....personally do not like the red stripes , and the smaller stripe, good luck......And I also strongly agree with Viper Joe..about the interior!

So far, every interior you have done and posted, I have thought looked awesome!

That red on the silver car you posted does not look like factory Viper red, maybe that is part of why it looks odd, IMO.

I personally like silver with blue, or graphite best. However, silver with the right red would look killer and would keep him unique.

Let me clarify....The silver car I posted was just to show an example of the red stripes. I think the congac and red stripes looks like puke as well. The car in the picture is not my customers car! My customers car is just a plain silver RT/10 with black interior, and nothing has been done to it as of yet. I think I like Joe's stripe combo the best and still will look good in with the red inserts. I know that you guys have seen a Silver Z06 Vette with red interior or the new mustang cobra that is silver with red inserts?? It looks really good to me. Regardless of the stripes I will show you a picture of the Red inserts in the silver car when it is finished.

do the "medium, graphite" grey stripe as pictured above, but do it like the stripe is on the srt. the grey strip on the silver looks KILLER!!!! but to stay away from copying someone eles idea, lay the stripes so that they narrow in the front as i said, like the srt. just my two cents...no i am broke...lol

Your the very one that has me questioning the red stripe idea???? Thanks for your imput but I already knew your views I like Joe's stripes as well.
