Do some searches for corrosion + sills and corrosion + rockers, good info here.

Caused by moisture trapped between insulation and sill. Heat from stock cat enhances the problem. Do not use stock cat, way too hot.

Call Roe Racing for cat replacement or go catless.

Gen1 rockers and attaching hardware for nortorious for corrosion (I think due to the dis-similar metals reacting).

Corrosion on the rockers is not bimetal corrosion. This was originally thought to be true but the rivits are aluminum as the rockers.

The corrosion is caused by moisture being sandwiched inside the rocker under the insulation. Takes days to dry out if you get that area all wet.

Heat from the stock cats just makes the problem worse and speeds up the corrosion.
