New Purner 19 inch wheels that look like HRE 547\'s - photos

Do any of you guys with an RT/10 have these wheels on your car? If so, could you post a photo? I am considering getting them.

They definitely look like 547 clones. Good though.
But they look like they are 18" wheels from the picture.

I also like the flames, but it looks like they got some overspray on the headlights and foglight covers. :D

How much are they and whats the difference in the price? They look good and if the price is alot better they maybe a good deal.

Less then $4,000 for rims AND tires. PLUS, the Purners are 19's while the HRE's shown above (in second pic) are only 18's.

Real ones for 18" would be about $5,000.00 plus tire..not enough of a savings to know you have replicas and so will anyones else who knows HRE 547s

Just my .02c ;)

Oh, I agree, theres nothing like REAL HRE's. BUT you have to remember Adam, the Purners are also 19's and NOT 18's like the HRE's and are STILL under $4,000 w/tires. Just my $.02. :D

Its a good buy for 19", HRE's 19' would probably be another grand higher than I quoted in 19". I just think if your going to spend that much money on wheels you might as well get the real thing that the other manufacturer is trying to duplicate.

I put HRE 19's I bought from Nasty. They look better than the Purners, but I am having a h3ll of a time keeping them shiny. I may chrome them over the winter.

I actually like the look of the Purners and not having all the little bots on the wheel.
Probably not a bad choice if they are cheaper!

You shouldn't if you had them cleared from the factory and keep those babys waxed! Thats what I did and still do and they look as good as when they came out of the box!

I think the Purner wheels have a CLEANER look to them, plus the 19" is a nice extra.

Re: New Purner 19 inch wheels that look like HRE 547\'s - photos

John Has been building quality race wheels for years now,we are now on our 4th set of his new 19".I have had and used HRE for years also and with the quality of johns wheels,we will be buying his exclusively. If one hasnt seen these in person there is not a picture out there to do them justice. They are far from "replicas".Another interesting quality of Johns wheels...Every set of HRe i have ever purchased or removed from a car required beating the *#!&*&+ out of them to remove from hub unless machined around them. All sets i have recieved from John literally fall off of the hub once lugnuts removed.Very important to remember just because one product has been made more affordable than another does not mean it is lacking quality of the other.Keep up the good work John,If anyone would like pics of these wheels on either GTS or R/T 10 email and i will forward

HRE does have a 19" boltless wheel, for those "purists" that don't want the bolts but need the brand name. I think they are 647R's.

It's the 840R series.It's 3-piece hiiden hardware.

Also,I always thought 1-piece forged were better than multi-piece /cast wheels,stronger,lighter.
Who has the 19" Purner's for under 4 grand with tires,I've only found them for 5g's.

HRE's 547R's do come in 19's (I have them!) What splitter? Adam96 front is the new replacement cover from Vipermed, mine is the autoform bolt on pc.

Definately look better without all the bolts. Must be lighter and easier to clean too.

Re: New Purner 19 inch wheels that look like HRE 547\'s - photos

keep in mind these are machined from a single block of forged, 6061 t6 aluminum, thats why there are no bolts. they are wickedly strong, quite light and have several advantages over modular construction for street applications. am machining new designs at this time, expect to see some pics soon.

While any HRE is a nice wheel they seem played out on Vipers. I mean pretty much any Viper with aftermarket wheels is an HRE, seem to be as common as stock.

These purners look great, very clean looking though I prefer them non-chrome.
