Noob Alert! Just washed my GTS for the first time and . . .

the carpet in the rear was wet so I leaked somewhere. I did not see any trickles coming down from the hatch glass seal, but I am assuming this is where the water came from (it seems to be way toward the rear of the well). Is this a chronic GTS problem? Is it the hatch glass? Any suggestions for fixes?

You may have sprayed water in from the rear vents on either side of the car. Is the water on the sides of the rear or near the center?

Wide angle spray probably will never be a problem. Take it easy around the side window seals. And of course, don't spray into the vents, like Bruce said.

me spraying the vents. Thanks guys. Now I know to stay away from the area. Part of the Viper-noob learning curve.

There are also two weep holes in the window channel that allow water in the channel to be displaced into the wheelwell. If the weep holes are plugged there is a possibility that water could backup and pass thru a faulty window gasket.

Re-seat the weather stripping. This has been a problem before.

Are you talking about the vents that lower cabin pressure when the air bags are deployed?
I'm talking about the little ones on each side of the rear end.

Those vents are the air bag vents. I restricted them with some stereo equipment before and it doesn't make driving very comfortable. You can feel the air pressure backing up and you get a pulsing in your ear.

I've also heard that if they are plugged the back glass can blow when you open the windows at high speed. It makes sense if the pressure builds and has no where to go it will create it's own opening...
