Northwind Engineering 2\" seat lowering kit

I'm trying to install a Northwind Engineering 2" seat lowering kit on my '00 GTS (non-ACR). Are the "posts" on the kit supposed to be pointing up? Or down (resting on the floor)? The installation is not going very well. I can't seem to get the holes to align. Does anyone have any secrets/tricks? Is this kit supposed to fit all GTS models? The instructions say "96 GTS, 97 RT-10". I've called Northwind twice, left messages, and have not received a call-back. HELP!!!

I used the 2" kit in my 1994. The posts face up & forward. The short posts go in the back. The longer posts go in the front.
Finger tight on the floor then finger tight on the seat-frame. After everything is lined up then tighten things down.

I had similar problems with their 1 inch kit. Their instructions are terrible. I had to eventually bolt the unit to the seat and adjust the floor mounts.
