Mid-South VCA’s Fall Foliage run in Hot Springs Arkansas to your list of
“must do” events this year. The event has become a tradition amongst Viper die-hards
looking for great social gathering, lots of wonderful food, fantastic camaraderie, and even
better, an abundance of winding roads which some have nicknamed the “Arkansas
Autobahn”.
This years tenth annual fall foliage tour will start at beautiful in Hot Springs,
Arkansas, known for its therapeutic hot baths, relaxing natural scenery, and historic
downtown complete with bathhouses, art galleries, and tempting gift shops.
We will begin the event Saturday morning at the Lake Hamilton Resort with a quick
forty-five minute drive to nearby Lake Quachita for a home-style breakfast. Next we’ll
pass through Mt. Ida on our way west for a drive along Arkansas’ scenic highways.
We’ll enjoy lunch before we take in a bunch more twisties, fall foliage and scenic views
on our way back to in Hot Springs. We’ll take a break before dinner, then, enjoy a
special dinner banquet as we watch the sun set. Sunday morning we will have brunch
and then say our “good-byes” until next year.
Hot Springs is a picturesque community located between several lakes with plenty of
shopping and nightly entertainment, be ready to start early Saturday morning for a great
day of Viper events. A complete itinerary will be available at registration.
The event hotel is the Lake Hamilton Resort located on Lake Hamilton. Each room is
a suite with views of the lake. Be sure to ask for the group rate. To reserve your room
call (866) 712-8606 and mention you are with the Viper Club. Don’t wait, this is a very
busy time of the year in Hot Springs, and the hotels are usually full!

Come join long time Mid-South members Irwin and Lloydine Seale as they
host a pre-party Friday October 19​

Come relax and enjoy their property (and toys) as we visit and get ready for
the Fall Foliage Tour on Saturday. Start arriving by 3pm, dinner is at 5 and
we all depart around 6:30 for Hot Springs.
Sparkman is located approximately 60 miles south of Hot Springs, so it’s
right on the way for all you Southern Folk.

Spouses Alternate Activity for October 20​

Here is an option for our spouses if they would prefer not to go on the ridealong
Saturday afternoon. Take the opportunity to visit Garvan Woodland
Gardens, a world class botanical garden on Lake Hamilton, followed by lunch
at a local restaurant.
Garvan Woodland Gardens features waterfalls, rock gardens, statues,
fountains, and bridges, as well as abundant plants and flowers. There is also
a beautiful new chapel that is a popular venue for fall weddings, and a unique
gift shop with garden and nature related items.
We need to allow at least two hours for a self guided tour (walking) or there
are golf carts available for those that wish to take the riding tour ($6).
General admission is $8. For a tentative format we should plan to arrive by
9:30 or 10, tour for a couple of hours, and then finish with lunch.
If enough of you indicate an interest, the Club will provide transportation
for the activity. Each individual would pay their own entrance and lunch
costs.
