For those of you that autocross you know that in many cases the viper is not the perfect autocross car, you also know that many of the less powerful cars can beat us on the autocross course.
With all that said a friend (another viper) and my self raced this Sunday in NE Ohio (NORA circuit), Since this is near the end of the seson the competition was good, a big percentage of the cars ran slicks and many came on trailers. To make a long story short there were 57 participants, six cars in SS or SSP and two cars in ASP. These were either our vipers or vettes. The car ran great and we won the SS/SSP, in addition we were the fifth fastest car out of 57. Another point to note is that many of these cars will go to the SCCA regionals and finals.
I can say this, we raced in the SCCA, Corvette and Porsch series races and all have openly welcomed us to their events. In all cases these are comprised of good groups of people.
