Only 4 Gen1\'s on ebay

Just noticed there are only 4 gen 1's on ebay right now, and one of them has 215 miles and a buy it now of $50k, (13 bids up to 36,900). Do you think it's because of the time of year, supply & demand, etc., or is this about right?
Just curious.

They are out there, check out Autotrader.com. Will the number dwindle in the up coming years, of course. Is that time now? I do not think so. I have been watching them for about 2 yers, it does seem the prices have flattened out.

I have also been watching the low NUMBER of vipers for sale on ebay for quite some time now. At the beginning of last year when I was looking for mine, there were usually around 100 or so vipers for sale on ebay on any given day.

For quite some time now, the number of cars for sale on ebay has been around 50, with probably half of those cars being gen 3.

Not sure what to make of this. Afterall, the production of gen 3 convertibles and now coupes, will only continue to create more cars, yet at this time, we are seeing less of a resale market.

There just aren't that many GenIs out there, Gen IIs as well!

I plan on selling mine in 20 years for $350k!

From my experience - prices seem to be lowest right now and creep up until about August.

Maybe us Gen 1 owners are starting to realize the value of the "Original, Bare Bones, Single-Purpose, In-Your-Face, Most Fun To Drive" BEAST!

Remember - no more being produced - parts values increasing - unfortunate wrecks/totals = HIGHER $$$$$ in the not too distant future.

Yeah, I always laugh when I tell people the Gen2 and Gen3 cars are "plush" compared to my Gen1!
