My suggestion would be to go to Sears and get a Gold or Platinum battery. They have a 5 yr warranty that is prorated and a 1 or 2 yr full no cost replacement if the battery goes bad. I replaced mine recently when i left the door ajar and drained the battery. It was replaced at no cost.

AutoZone Duralast Gold (78-DLG) has always been good to me. Optima's are also sold at AutoZone and the part number is 78.

You can go to the Optima website and find your local dealer. The complete part number is 78 (8078-109). I think I paid about $150 for mine. The VCA had an Optima program going but I'm not sure if they are selling that part #, but you should check it out.

So, what's the deal with the Optima battery? Everyone in the Viper world has this thing for an Optima battery.

I like a good ole die hard from Sears. Tell me why I'm wrong.:dunno:

Actually most here don't like them. I like them for one simple reason, no battery acid on the tray.
