Had just installed a boost gauge the other day with the peak recall and had previously seen about 7-7.5lbs at my normal shift points of 5,500-5,700. Was out driving the other night with a buddy of mine in his blown GTS and I tagged the rev-limiter pretty hard in 2nd gear. I had hit it once before the paxton, but it felt quite different this last time. I will tell you that during those last 400-500 rpm's above my normal shift points the car was pulling very very hard. Ideally moving the limiter up to 6,500 rpm would result in some nice power increases just not sure how the motor would take it.
The next day I checked the peak recall and it read at 9lbs. Obviously repeated runups against the limiter are not the best thing to be doing with a blown car, but what kind of damage if anything can it cause? Car runs through 1st and second so quickly now have to really pay attention to my shift points. I may just drop back down to 5,500 shifts so it does not happen again.
