The pinion bearing needs to be changed and I think it might be cheaper to just swap pumkins. Does anyone know what the labor is for replacing the pinion bearing?

I think you'd be better off rebuilding your rear so you know what's been done to it and the condition it is in. Buying used components are just what they are.
