I have hit 30,000 miles on my 01 GTS. I am getting the 30,000 mile service at Maxwell Dodge in Austin, TX. My car is basically stock except for smooth tubes, S&B air filters and random tech high flow cats. Does it make sense to get MSD plug wires and Bosch platinum plugs? Or is it a waste on a stock car. David Weaver who I think the world of and feel stupid for questioning said that the platinum plugs might actually hurt on a stock car and the wires won't do anything. Still, I like to cover everything.

Thoughts anyone?

I asked the same question from Chuck Tator. He said to stick with the stock wires and plugs. So I did.
What I have read, many have tried platinum and went back to stock.

Go with DW's recommendation and stick with stock plugs and wires. Bosch platinums and MSD's won't do anything for you except lighten your wallet.
