Question about site advertising.

I was wondering what the VCA charges to have a banner from a vendor on their forum. I am part of a small local club that someone has contacted me in reference to advertising on. I don’t know what we should charge. I realize that we get a lot less traffic then the VCA but I need to start some where.

FWIW TV CPM (cost per 1000 impressions) is approximately $15 or 1.5 cents per impression.

So, if you get 1000 hits per month $15 would not be out of line IMO.

just to clear up something. an "impression" is when the add is displayed.

a hit is when the customer clicks the add and is directed to your site also called a click through.

1.5 cents per impression is ok. as well as .50-1$ per click through.

out of 1000 impressions the customer will be lucky if they get a 1% click through. or 10 hits per 1000 impressions.
