Does anyone datalog with a cell phone or pocket pc? The laptop I have is/was a gaming laptop and is quite possibly the only thing that runs hotter then the stock cats. It doesn't run on battery long at all so I have been looking for a pocket pc to run the vec software. Anyone know of one of these pocket pc's that will actually run the software? I am not looking to spend more then 100 so I don't care if it has a phone attached or not.

It would be awesome to have access to the communication protocols for the VEC so we could create our own apps for whichever mobile device we choose.

I started an app for my nintendo DS to tune my tt v8 300zx running a Megasquirt ecu. I would have continued development of it, but small laptops like the Acer Aspire One are really cheap now and a much better choice. Got mine for 299 cdn.

I would like to see an IPhone app for the VEC, but again, without the communication protocols, we're dead in the water.

Also, I would wager that the VEC tuning software is not windows mobile compatible.

Later,

I should have an answer on the vec software being windows mobile compatible soon. My issue right now is finding a pda that can host usb. Most of them are only clients.
