my 08 dynoed at 515 rwhp at dc performance,t think zr1 s are doing a little more, all are bad ass cars,in my exprience behind the wheel lambos pull harder after 150 than a stock viper does, from 80-140-150 viper will win after 150 maybe diffrent story

I ran my freinds 06 Gallardo and walked him easily to 165mph(3-4 cars)...no way a stock Gallardo could hand with a 08 Viper from a 40-50-60roll to 165mph.

My freinds a good driver and owns many high performance vehicles so it was not a driver advantage.

your car does seem to be reading low on the dyno...how many break-in miles did you have on it???

FYI, DC has two dynos. The "in gound" dyno is a dynojet and it reads about 20+ rwhp lower than most.

The above ground dyno attaches to the rear axle studs (wheels off) and reads quite a bit higher than most in ground dynos, like 40+ rwhp.

Most stock 2008's seem to be reading about 535 rwhp here in So Cal with some exceptions. We had one read 561 rwhp the other day uncorrected at another local dyno.

this is the time to buy...I was looking at an 05 Gallardo 6speed manual for under 92k

BTW My 08 made another 15rwhp after I put 4000+ miles on it

My '08 (5,000 miles) pulled 533 RWHP on in-ground DynoJet.

Good to hear. Dont the 08's ran 14s from 0-150?

0-150 MPH December '08 Comparison Test between ZR1 and '08 Coupe:

Viper: 16.4
ZR1: 17.1

At 150 MPH, car is traveling 220' per second; basic math suggests SRT10 Coupe would be 154' ahead of ZR1 at the 150MPH mark, or 7+ car lengths in front.

You have to take the rest of the run into consideration...look at the numbers again and try to figure out how far the vette is out at the beginning of the run....I think it would be closer than seven cars. I bet with equal drivers the Viper would be infront by 1-3 cars.
