I have a 95 and the rearview mirror has lights on the bottom. When the lights are turned off and the car is off the lights on it stay on for some reason. I have to leave the connection unplugged so it won't run the battery down. Has anyone ever had this problem and any suggestions on how to fix it, can't be major.

We had the same thing happen on our '94. When we bought it, the light was unplugged. After about 8 months, the door open chime started going off when the key was in the ignition and the doors were closed. It was the drivers door latch switch, inside the door. The tabs that hold it had broken. Just took a little epoxy to secure it in place. Took care of the chime and the light.

Other than the door latch switch that controls the interior lights off/on, there is a switch under the mirror and one on the headlight switch. Make certain the headlight switch is not turned to far over or it will turn the interior lights on.
