Does Chrysler still have available the retro-fit kits to install "factory" air conditioning in '93-'94 RT/10's? If so, how costly and difficult is it to do and is there anyone who would do it, either a Dodge dealer Viper tech or one of our fine independent Viper specialists? Thanks for any information anyone can offer!

One of the companies on the site has aftermarket kits now available. I am not sure which one, but I am sure it will be posted. Chuck is right and that is one of the reasons I did not get an early RT/10. No A/C kits to be found. Try a search on the archives or Jon B.

viperprowler1, The A/C kits from Chrysler are no longer available! At the time they were about $2200 and it took six hours to install. It looks like your going to have to find a wrecked Viper? I don't know of an aftermarket company that sells them for that price and or availability?

Viperprowler1,I'd take Hemidaytna up on his offer! 95 components will fit 93-94's! I have the installation sheets from DC's add-on air, and if your missing anything we can order it.
Let me know.

Thanks guys! The owner and I haven't arrived at a mutually agreeable price for the car as of this writing so I don't want to do anything about the add-on a/c yet but the info. is very helpful!

Well I can tell you that in AZ (summer), the car would be almost undrivable without A/C. I have made maybe five or six trips up to Phoenix, several of them ******* in 100 degree weather....I prefer the A/C! (Sometimes I am just determined to drive that car, top off, no matter what!) I've come to realize that my summmer is almost like Northern winters for driving *******...with the exception that the summer nights can still be great.

Ron....waiting for winter!

Hi Roy,

In my opinion, a/c would add a minimum of $1500 (and that may be light?) to the value of a genI, all other things being equal! It would probably be significantly more in the hotter areas of the country but each potential buyer would have to use his/her own best judgement. I live in upstate New York and could probably get along without a/c but would much rather have it for the few times one might need it. Anyone else have any opinions on the value of a/c on a genI?

I bought the last A/C kit from JonB and it works great. JonB is the guy to ask. All I know is that I should have put it in earlier...
