Okay, so 3 years ago I bought my wife an engagement ring, 12 months 0% financing, same as cash. Paid it off in time, no finance charges...

My wife and I bought a new big screen TV a while back, 24 months 0% financing, same as cash. Paid it off in time, no finance charges...

Nowadays we are even seeing GM do 36 months 0% financing, same as cash. Pay it off in time, no finance charges...

Come on guys, why am I not seeing Roe Racing Superchargers for 48 months 0% financing, same as cash???

I realize this isn't Circuit City, but I am on the multi-year plan right now with what my wife allows me to donate to the piggy bank. And it majorly *****.

Did I mention I plan to move to Canada and become a citizen?

Just kidding Mike, but it is tempting, I mean if I didn't like the temperate weather so much in CA, I might just do it...

I wonder if Sean Roe has as deep pockets as GM, Circuit City? I think he does Roe racing for fun....probable his finance options are making his own house payments, business loans etc. I do not know if this is true for Sean, but it does apply to me.

I would do the credit card thing, but I have prided myself in never having any substantial credit card debt (more than $1000 anyway), even at no interest, because it is so tempting to go crazy with.

I like being able to buy things when I have the money, or get loaned money at no interest for a fixed amount of time if I want the item before the money is there, because I consistently pay it off in time.

The home, cars, degree, sometimes I can't help but afford to finance that stuff but that's about it.

Is there really such a thing as 0%? Someone has to pay for the use of the money. When auto companies advertise 0% or $1500 cash back, the guy who finances forfeits the cashback, so he is actually paying for using their money.

0% finance could mean a lot of things... for a company, that just means that the "product" is off its books now, but the accounts payable won't be squared away until later.

For a credit card, a lot of them probably bank on the fact that you won't pay the balance... at which point a ton of interest accrues in arrears.

I agree with Achilles 99, most banks are counting on you going past the time limit for 0% so they can hit you with an ungodly interest rate on the entire financed amount.

How about just a Roe Racing rewards card. You know, so when you put a blower on it, you get points towards other Roe Racing parts purchases...

I am just waiting for some independently wealthy Viper owners to chime in here and set up a plan for all of us to go and buy blowers ahead of what our savings will currently allow.

Sure, I'll finance it for 0%.....................but with the 0% you have to purchase the "tech support" plan

The "plan" is only $20,000
