The "Father of the Viper", Roy Sjoberg, will be speaking in Santa Fe at 6pm on Feb. 1, 2011. If you can attend, please RSVP to this e-mail so we can have an idea on how many people to expect.

Behind every good vehicle is a team of designers, engineers, and managers that were instrumental in putting that vehicle on the road. The Dodge Viper is no exception, and much credit has been given to Carroll Shelby, Bob Lutz, Tom Gale, Herb Helbig, and Roy Sjoberg.

On February 1, 2011, the New Mexico Viper Club will be hosting an event where Roy Sjoberg will spend some time visiting with us on the Dodge Viper. I had the pleasure of listening to Mr. Sjoberg last Saturday, and was quite impressed with his stories and insight into the development and production of this sports car.

If you can make it, please reserve Tuesday evening to hear the "Father of the Viper." If you live in the Albuquerque area, a group of us will be leaving from the parking lot of Sandia Area Federal Credit Union (8000 Palomas Ave. NE - where we held the Toys for Tots event) at 5pm. We will be meeting at the Santa Fe Community College at 6pm in the President's Conference Room. The address is 6401 S. Richards Ave., Santa Fe, NM 87508. Here is a link to get there:
