I had two dogs jump up and scratch my Viper Hood. The scratches were very deep and I did not think they were repairable. I called Brian at Scratch Master (888- Scratch or 253-732-0000) ... he comes out to your location and he did a fantastic job ... repaired the scratches so that I CANNOT TELL there was ever a scratch there. And they were extremely severe scratches. Highly recommended. Web site car Scratch Master | dent repair Tacoma Olympia Seattle | mobile body shop
Edit: See following post. Since the above emoticon has upset the original poster let me rephrase it. "Before and after pics would help everyone see the extent of the damage and the quality of the repair."
So you don't believe me ... well tough. I didn't take before pix ...so I can't show you how bad it was. But believe me it is totally fixed. I can't believe some the people who access this forum ... I thought they were all high class people ... but I guess was wrong. I submitted this as a public service ... you can make up your own mind if it service is worth it ... and then I get a worthless criticism. I give up ...
dont thave a cow dude, you seem to be making a judgment on this club based on one persons response. and what does "High Class" people have to do with anything FYI: When it comes to something like scratch or dent repair. Befor/After pics are mandatory. When the rear of my GTS was Keyed(a 4" scratch) last year the first thing i did was take pics to document it. If i ever find someone that i have confindence in to fix it(no-one yet) then i will be sure to take after pics to show everyone what can be done. Your response should have been, "Crap, i forgot to take pics"
if you PM me your email, i'll send you the pic of my scratch and maybe you can tell me how it looks compared to yours. -thanks
Dude, don't have a cow, I'm not attacking you or your integrity. When you start a thread like this "before and after pics" would be something you should post. How else will anyone know how effective the repair was? My post was not meant to say you're some kind of liar, in fact if you read any of my posts you would know that I'm not that kind of a person. Use the search function if you don't believe me. In any event while I don't live in or near WA I would like to know how the guy did the repair as I do have a car (non Viper) that could use some scratch repair. That's why pics would have been helpful.
Hey Mike, I think you mis-interpreted gbatejan's post. We all like to "see" what can be done....he was just curious to see how bad the scratches were and how it turned out...I wouldn't take any offense at it as I'm sure no doubt of the validity of your post was intended.
Dude...relax...breathe in...breathe out. You original post absolutely looks like an advertisment...before and after pictures aren't asking too much.
A public service is not an advertisement. I am sorry I did not take a before pix ... I did not think of that ... all I wanted was to get my Viper repaired. Guess this will be my last post. Good bye Viper Club. gbatejan could have just stated that he would have liked pix instead of the inflammatory worthless statement. I was and am offended. I thought that only Viper members were authorized to access this forum ... so how would someone NOT authorized to access this forum post an advertisement. I cannot understand how my post was interpreted as an advertisement. Very frustrated.
Wow Mike....you're way overboard here....You need to understand that the silly 'this thread is worthless without pictures' "smilie" is used a LOT here and I have NEVER seen it used to berate or belittle a poster, it just means "we'd love to see what you're talking about". Don't storm off over a misunderstanding. Whether it's an advertisement or not, what you posted is just fine as far as giving props to a local company (as long as it's not yours and you're trying to drum up business, which nobody has accused you of!) Seriously, you're misunderstanding here...don't let it ruin your enjoyment of the club.
In support of KC, I came over here to see what was up and I couldn't find what gbatejan posted to elicit such an upset response. I just assumed that the "comment" must have already been deleted. Having just now understood that the "comment" was simply the "this post is worthless without pictures" smilie I have to concur with KC. Mike, you made a reasonable (but complete) mistake. That smilie is used (more likely overused) just as a means to suggest to a poster that he should post up pictures. It is commonly used (since it's an easy smilie find and click) as a request. I have NEVER seen it used to berate or seriously criticize a poster. It's more of a forum "slang" for "Hey dude, this is very interesting to me but it SO needs photos for me to get the entire drift". Well maybe not exactly, but you get the idea. Honestly, this is not a reasonable reason to leave the VCA forum. It's all good here!
I would think that this could be cleared up with a simple apology. If you offend someone, on purpose or not, you should apologize if it was not your intent to offend. Telling someone to breathe or giving a thumbs up when they say they are quitting the club is uncalled for and offensive as well and also deserves an apology. Mike, you are appreciated in the Washington club for all that you do. Please do not let these remarks change your status with the local club.
all I can say is... WOW And I must quote Dom426H- "FYI: When it comes to something like scratch or dent repair. Befor/After pics are mandatory." Thats just funny. (sarcasim) - No.... Just stupid...seriously?
All I can say is that, al least, two members of the WA club are very sensitive. Look, I'm sorry for posting in your club forum...it will not happen again...I'm not about to apologize for any of my posts in this thread...I AM NOT POLITICALLY CORRECT and I'm not about to change. My posts were and are my opinions...so move on...they weren't meant to hurt or offended anybody...how about using just a little bit of common sense .
What did they do? Did they have to do any touch up with paint or did they just polish them out? If they did do TU did they use a brush or air brush etc... Any additional info would be greatly appreciated. There ad looks a little too good to be true but you never know. I have seen paintless dent guys do some TOTALLY AMAZING work so I guess it is not that far fetched that they have some great TU technology. If so I would love to learn about it. I have done some pretty amazing TU's using langka and TU paint but that is usually only on small knicks. Long scratches are another animal. Please tell us more.
Alright, as the person that has clearly offended Mike, let me apologize. The use of the needpics emoticon was simply intended to say this thread would be more meaningful with pictures of before and after. I have never seen or used this emoticon to offend someone. I can't ever remember reading that anyone was offended by its use. It is a standard emoticon offered by the site, I did not create it to poke fun at Mike. However, if Mike chooses to quit the club over its use then hopefully my apology will change his mind. In any event, I will not post again to this thread, emotions run too high here.
Thank you for the apology, I hope it helps in Mike's decision to stay or go. Sometimes things get misunderstood and emotions run high...I hope everyone still feels they can post on Washington's threads. Have a happy THanksgiving everyone!
