No offense but I bought a new/untitled Red 2005 last month for $65k and I know there is/was an identical one for the same price in Ohio. Not sure what a new/untitled 2006 would go for but I assume only a couple grand more, maybe about the same.

Lovely cars in the picture but I agree with Bob, you have to take about $10K off to sell that car, especially since it is a common color; red. If it was a unique color like the steel gray type color or blue, you can ask more, but still $70K would be too high. For this car, you are looking at about $60K realistically.

60k is too low. Unless you are just looking to get wholesale. Current wholesale with those miles is 60.5.....retail 64-65k.

just bought an identical car out here with 1500 miles from a chevy dealer for $59k
$70k will be an absolute miracle, unless you are hiding a paxton under the hood for that price.

Umm...a co-worker of mine said that a dealer in Illinois he has been to called him Thursday and offered him a brand new '05 red with white stripes for $60,000. He'd previously looked at the same car and was quoted $68k back in October.

BTW..

I arrived at the price based off of what others are asking in the classified section and what KBB says.

Kelley Blue Book prices say:

Condition Value

Excellent
$70,375

Good
$67,020

Fair
$62,345

Mine falls into the Excellent Catagory... I'm always open to offers!

KBB is a joke when it comes to specialty cars. For example, look up an early NSX and it quotes prices that are about 30% lower than what they actually sell for.

KBB can do the opposite as well - show a high value that is not even close to what the market is bringing. Just see if you can a dealer to actually give you KBB on a trade for most cars!

KBB (also NADA, Edmund's) are GUIDES!!! The values in these publications are based on depreciation, not current market value. Only supply and demand can influence market values (surplus = lower prices and shortage = higher prices).

With that, I think DC has learned its lesson from the Gen. III's so expect to pay more for the Gen. IV. :bonker:

...my next door neighbor bought a new 05 red in May for $64K from a local dealer....I bought a new Ram SRT10 for $32K(they got even cheaper), DC had a massive closeout on these vehicles and crushed the used prices in the wake...

Did some checking with some dealers.

Looks like they like to give trades around 58-60K on my car. Hard to take only 2000 miles into consideration for them. It would be the same price if my car had 4000 miles.

They recommended trying to sell it myself for $65,000

Any Takers? :nana:

I bought a brand new one (2005 Black convertible), ZERO miles , NEW in 2005 from a Dodge Dealership for $66,500. And thats before they finished tanking !! I love these cars, we currently have 2 in the family, but no way is a used convertible going to sell for 65,000. Good luck in any case. You probably need to be looking at 58k or so, and take any offer and run with it, that comes close !!

I can vouch for the condition of the cars pictured, since I bought the 99 RT/10 from him last April. The 99 was in great shape, best one I have seen to date. The 05 was in pristine condition as well, all the cars are very well taken care of. He is a stand up guy to boot, if anyone is looking for a red 05, this would be the one to buy.

Why are u selling? What are u getting next?

Just a little help. Before I purchased my 2001 GTS ACR a local dealer would have sold me a 2005 SRT Vert, Red 4500 mile for $58K it was listed at 74K. I got him down to 60K with two calls and the visit to the dealership got him down to 58K. I was just looking because I really wanted and love my gen II. Just some info.

Man the prices that SRT's are going for these days are absolute steals! It is hard to believe you can get such an amazing car for such little cash.
