Hi to all you experts out there, I have a question for you. My 97 GTS has had the following services that I know about.
97 - 2000 no records
May 2000 @500 miles 30,000 mile service
Sept 2001 @2500 miles 15,000 mile service
2002 nothing
Then I brought it and it now has 3700 miles and I am putting it in for a service. unfortunately the choices over here in the UK are a bit useless and I have asked 3 'recognized for vipers' service centres for quotes, all quite expensive but also they all recommended different services 15,000 (£420) 45,000 (£410) and 60,000 (£660). Now for the question, given its history and the recommendations of the UK DC 'experts' what do the real experts think I should get done. Has it missed any important replacements or is it just in need of some new oil and a filter. I was thinking I would go for the 15,000 mile as I didn’t like the lot who recommended the 45,000 as they never returned my calls and then said the stock air filters were as good as K&N's it has, the 60,000 mile service just seems a bit too big for this mileage and is a bit expensive.
I'm thinking about getting the service manual and maybe doing some of this myself in future but I think I really need to get something done soon, just don’t know what.
