Shift Knob replacement ? Another \"stupid\" new owner question...

I just traded my Vette 2 days ago a for 2000 RT/10. Until I can get a "Ripper" (or similar) shifter, I've gotta get rid of the stock shift knob ASAP...

Do the MGW (First strike) shift knobs replace just the knob, which would actually make the shifter longer ???

Or do they replace the whole shaft, so that it's also shorter ???

Will MoMo's & other standard knobs fit, or is the viper shaft too thick?
Any help/advice appreciated !!!

On my SRT the MGW replaced the shaft as well, making it shorter. I assume it is the same on other Viper models.

Yes MGW shortens the shaft. All you need is the MGW it will shorten the height to very close what a short shifter kit wil do and it's an easy off easy on 5 minute deal.

I have a 1 inch drop shaft to screw on to the MGW shifter for sale if you are interested. It will make it like a short throw shifter for 50 bucks shipped.

let me know.........
