I am going to remove my passanger sidesill and want to know if there is anything I should know that may make the job easier before I start. Once removed I will take pics and post to see if it is able to be repaired. Thanks, Andy

pretty straight forward. remove caps on top of side sill, remove screws, remove screws underneath. just follow the screw pattern.

Tip to easily remove the caps on top of the screws is to slide 2 credit cards under each side. It squeezes the prongs together and the cap pops right out.

finally had time to look at the sills for removal and I do have rivets on the rear of the sills where they attach just in front of the rear tires. Before I drill these out....am I correct that these are the ones that need to be removed?(since everyone told me there is no rivets holding the sill on)

Do Not remove those rivets, they have nothing to do with removing the sidesill any have no issues.

The rivits you are talking about are just holding the back plate on the sill. It will be obvious when it is off. Just remove the screws and give the sill a little tug.

I could be wrong, 5 screws up top, two under hood and 3 under the caps under the door and 5 on the bottom.
