So I'll be posting pictures of my Christmas present...if the snow stops this weekend!!! I dropped the hint about 2-3 MONTHS ago that I wanted a lift. Unfortunately, our current house has a dismal garage (compared to the likes of Jerry DeYoung and Bugeater, and others). So, I sent my loviing wife many e-mails about the KwikLift....and it paid off! Powder coated red, creeper and rolling/telescoping oil collector. Granted, it is not the four poster that I dream of....but I have my own plans. See, I have a SMALL garage, and the KwikLift will fit just perfectly, and I can get the car about 32" off the ground. When my wife moves up here from Key West, and we upgrade our housing, I'll have my own 2-car garage all to myself, and I'll add a four post to the equation.
My initial comments are good. I was told about the present by way of a huge box with the e-mail confirmation of the order. I called Bryan first thing and he already knew not to ship till I returned from Key West. He was very helpful and offered any assistance when the time comes. He said it would be delivered to the Overnite dock and that I would need to pick it up there. All I had to do was back a pickup up to the dock and they would load it. Unloading it would be piece-by-piece as it was assembled. Once I had the PRO number I called Overnite to see about delivery. They said "No problem".
And my need to find a friend with a pickup, who would drive me all the way out to the Overnite dock...back...etc....was GONE!!!
HUGE 60" ttrailer comes down my cul-de-sac. I figure he is in trouble! No problem....except one box id HEAVY.....like 600 pounds. The driver lives near me, and he offered to help me unload the contents into the house. I slipped him a good tip for some hot coffee (and more) and he was off.
So far, fit and finish looks good. If the snow stops...I'll snaek the Viper out tomorrow and assemble it.
Danny and Bryan at KwikLift were great to deal with. Always friendly and had all the answers. I will keep you advised, thanks for reading!
PS...Bugeater needs to get his butt over here and help!!! LOL!!!!
