[quote On that note, anyone want the Fangs keychain I got this year?
About the only thing I can do with it is use it as a fishing
lure.

You have got to be kidding me? Actually the keychain is the first one I have acutally used in a long time. I can't believe how bitter you are becoming towards the VCA. :buttkick:

The VCA has a vested interest in promoting the future of the Viper so we don't end up like the DeTomaso Pantera Club if there ever was one. Sneaky Pete is already in Viper history and could still return since it is only an emblem and is an easy change. Right now Fangs is the Viper emblem on new Vipers so it is fine with me. Fangs will sit in front of what will be an even bigger displacement big block V-10 with 600-675 hp.
---I would buy the 675 hp Viper even if it had a cow as a logo.----

BTW, I counted at least 43 Gen I or II Vipers in this latest issue so what is the real problem?

With any luck you'll get your wish when the Viper gets
discontinued and Dodge doesn't support this site anymore.

Newsflash - dodge doesn't support the site, JonB does. Here's another
newsflash - dodge doesn't support the club either - it "allows" the
VCA to pay extra for one-off cars to be raffled off for the club
coffers. Dodge "allows" us to use the logos and every other year fronts
all kinds of cash for a Viper event that VCA and non-VCA owners can
attend. It also allows us to preview ads for Sprinter Vans and buy
over priced tee-shirts from its franchise stores.

If dodge was paying... hell any of the webfees, club fees, or magazine
fees it wouldn't be that much of an issue to me - advertise away,
but since it's my hard earned money going to support the club I'd
at least like my generation car recognized.

Not counting the ads I only see 18 pics of 9 Gen1/2s.

Not counting the ads OR the CCs I count 84 pics of 27 Gen3s.

And my real problem is I am sick of paying for the advertisment of
SRT products.

What products would you like to see advertised? Advertising pays the bills. On any publication, the advertising pays the costs related to the publishing. The subscriber fees pay for distribution in some cases. In many cases the advertisers pay the entire cost of the publication and the distribution costs. (example telephone book)I'm sure you don't think that the little bit of money you pay in dues pays for the magazine in full. Everyone complained when the magazine was full of all the dodge products, now it is only SRT and Basically Viper SRT. Would you prefer Corvette ads? How 'bout some nice Mustang spreads? Of course not, so we agree there needs to be ads, and Dodge no longer sells gen 1/2 cars so, what should they put in? Have you submitted any articles? submitted any pictures of your car or any Gen 1/2 cars with information? Don't post problems without solutions. Complain about something you don't like, sure but offer an intellegent solution.

Ok, I just put my soap box back in the closet.

Yo JonB-
What is that white car with the blue stripes in your ad?:D

For some of the rest of you- please read the left column of page 5 of the new issue of VM.
In part it states "VIPER Magazine is published quarterly by J.R. ThompsonCompany for the Dodge Division of DaimlerChrysler". This is NOT a VCA Magazine. E-mail your concerns directly to: [email protected] or [email protected]

Mark G. is always looking for photos or stories to put in the magazine, and he uses almost everything he gets, sooner or later. Create a Gen1/Gen2 story and send it in!:D

Just my $.02

It matches my AVATAR: G O N E !!!!!

And even MORE proof that Dodge subsidizes the costs of the VCA
