Any tips on something to spray front of car/mirrors to allow bugs to be cleaned off easily after a long trip?

I have heard that "Clear" PAM is supposed to work, however, someone else said that they did the PAM and the stuff baked onto the finish - sort of like burnt oil on a cookie sheet!

I was thinking that perhaps a spray silicone oil or something like that.

I heard of stuff call "Elephant Snot" that people used on their front ends at the track to keep rubber from sticking to the front end.

Thanks

What I do is keep a good coat of Zaino and clean the car the same day you get back from a ride. I wait for the car to cool for some hours first. I am used to it since we get these **** "love bugs" here in Florida. If you don't clean those off the same day, you have paint missing in the form of bug guts. No joke!

In my opinion, you just can't beat the performance of 3M Paint Protection Film. Once it is on, you just blast it with the pressure washer to get the bugs off. Even road tar comes off easily. Just my opinion of course. Jerry Scott[CO]

Jerry, I bought some 3M, it's good stuff. However, how do you get it around the mirrors in one piece? Wouldn't you need to stretch it a lot?
