A true coupe? Or just a hardtop slapped on a hopped up SRT10 (Hence, SRT10 ACR)? Either way, I'm looking forward to the pics - But we still need a true 'STREET LEGAL' coupe! (SGTS)

My guess is a hopped up SRT/10 with some of the go fast goodies from the Comp Coupe (headers, differential, aero, engine controller etc.) Maybe even a Mopar hardtop, but no coupe.

Here's a few of the shots I took (size reduced) of the PVO Skunkworks Viper at SEMA today:

They also had a white '04 SRT-10:

Thanks for the pics. But it is "SkunkWerks." If you catch the German flavor there.

The pics don't show it well but the hood, trunk lid, hardtop and lots of underhood parts are beautiful carbon fiber. Not sure how effective the cowl induction setup is but the 10 throttle bodies look menacing! Any word on the racing bodies acceptance of the bolt-on hardtop? That would be key.

Ha, maybe you can post a picture of the cowl induction on the Vipair thread. That could take it over 1000 posts!

Just my opinion here, but I'm not feeling the white at all. I think that color is a mistake.

Chevy tried it with the Z06, that lasted a year, not much sales, so they pulled it and replaced it with the Electron Blue. I think most people I talked to at Corvette events and shows bought it because it was unique, not necessarily because they thought it looked good. But even now white Z06's, although hard to come by, are not much to look at.

Ok...this is about the best pic I have of the induction system - I didn't get any shots specifically of the cowl induction hood.

Also, I've attached a pic of the lightweight wheel Mopar Performance wants to sell you for your Viper. Note that the Viper shown at SEMA features an anodized set of these wheels.

Who picked that color scheme. Does nothing for me. I'd like to see more pictures before I say that I'm disappointed. I was under the impression that this thing was going to replicate the Comp Coupe. NOT!

But who knows SKUNK means this is far from production. But in reality I do not see dodge going far from this design as it is basicly the srt-10 with a hardtop. Similar in design to the way they made a hardtop gts out of the rt-10.

The only thing missing is the big rear end, 65 datona coupe style

What size wheels are those that MOPAR wants to push? They look like they might be magnesium? Any ideas? I would guess 19" front/rear, but being an upgrade....20s?

I'm sure those rims are light weight and all, but why use a design style that is 10+ years old?

It does seem PVO is dead serious about performance, though. That induction system looks bad asp, and I'm betting it performs as well as it looks.

I know that PVO was trying to show off all of the carbon fiber bits contrasted against the silver paint, but I personally hate black hoods on other colored cars. This would have been MUCH more classy if the car was painted Graphite Metallic.

I'm also guessing that the wheels are magnesium, for weight savings.

What are the stats on this SEMA car? HP, weight? etc.?

Hmmm, I can't tell if it's really a bolt on hardtop, or non-removable....and the style the street coupe will follow? I hope not.

They need to bring the comp coupe to the streets. I will not be buying anything that looks like an SRT with a hardtop. The coupe better be lighter and more powerful as well.

I finally saw an srt in vegas a month ago and all I can say is it screams stratus. I think if they redesigned the front end to look more aggressive then it would go a long ways to looking like a viper instead of a stratus.

I do like the small fin they have on the back and I do like the engine compartment look.

Dodge Viper SRT-10 Carbon: The ultimate test bed for Mopar Performance Parts engineered specifically for the ultimate American sports car, the Dodge Viper SRT-10 Carbon is designed to be the ultimate street-legal, racing-oriented sports car. "More of everything - except weight!" was the theme in designing the Viper SRT-10 Carbon. Measurable weight savings - it weighs approximately 150 lbs. less than the production Viper SRT-10 - was recognized thanks to an aggressive, clear-coated carbon fiber hood (with radiator exit louvers and openings for cowl induction) and deck lid (featuring a built-in spoiler that increases rear downforce), and the debut of ultra-lightweight Street and Racing Technology (SRT) 18- and 19-inch forged aluminum wheels. A clear-coated, lightweight carbon fiber front splitter increases front downforce. A custom carbon fiber bolt-on hard top is featured, providing a coupe appearance. Other ingredients in the recipe that make the Viper SRT-10 Carbon the performance enthusiasts' fantasy car are a special version of the 8.3-liter Viper V-10 engine -- with individual runners, cowl induction, a 10 throttle body intake with aluminum velocity stacks, oversized intake and exhaust valves and modified cylinder heads resulting in 625 horsepower -- as well as a high-tech suspension featuring compression and rebound tunable shocks with adjustable ride height, titanium high-rate springs and high-rate anti-roll bars. The Viper Competition Coupe race car parts bin provides a high torque bias racing limited-slip differential, differential oil cooler, racing seats and competition harnesses.
