It seems that the current run of 50 VCA Edition coupes has met with less enthusiasm than other VCA Edition Vipers. I know part of this is due to the lack of promotion of these cars, but I believe that a big part of it is that the red and white coupe seems to be just another Viper with a special paint scheme. DCX has taken all the thunder out of this approach with its Mamba cars, Commemorative Edition cars and First Edition cars. Whether or not DCX recognizes it, one of the big impediments to selling the gen IIIs sitting on lots is the bench racing going on against the new Z06. To this end, I offer the following suggestion:
For future driveaway and raffle cars is there any chance of the VCA offering a gen III with the same package of Mopar Performance parts that were on the Copperhead Coupe at SEMA? I think this would make the car alot more appealing to the members than just a special paint scheme and decals. That's not to say that the paint scheme and decals should go away, just that they should be augmented with something more. If the parts can't be installed on the car when delivered, then offer a coupon with the car for those parts that the buyer can redeem after they take delivery of the vehicle.
