Well, I have a couple of problems, the car runs great under just about every condition. The problems I have are pretty popular but I want to fix them once and for all. 90% of the issues are when the motors cold or if I attempt to drive any sooner than 120 degrees (first temp line or about 5 min.), I get Misses, "idlehang", and "violent Bucking". The idle Hang sometimes comes back when it's warm but not to often. I have read probably every thread in regards to these problems and have tried about everything under the sun. But before I spend anymore $$$ on guess work I'd like to hear from anyone that has cured any of these. Also Do any other packages have these pesky problems (DLM, Heffner, Paxton, etc...), or is it just the Roe guys.

1)Misses: I spoke with Sean and he said the it could be the colder plugs may just require more time to warm up (Which makes sense), he said try the platinums +2 #4803. I also read that some people gap the plugs to 28, I'm gonna try this first.

2)Idle Hang: Geez, talk about your phantom problems. I've tried the 21/64 hole in the rod trick, helps a little but doesn't fix. And It also creates other problems like surging and sinking idle when cold. I really don't want to take out my 70mm Th/Bds. I think it was 1TONY1 that fought this for a long time, and if I recall I think he used O2 sims or new sensors can't remember.

3)Violent Bucking: Your guess is as good as mine on this one, it can't be an 02 sensor problem because it only happens when it's cold.

Thanks for reading

One of my problems was and still is the cold bucking. When I leave my drive I have to go up hill, the car goes way lean and with out clutch or aggressively working the throttle, the bucking is bad. This is only in the first minute or so from engine start(only the first start of the day). Might still be while the pcm is in open loop. My miss problems were due to a combo of stock injector connectors and a faulty vec2 harness....both were intermittent. Since both have been changed the missing is gone except the occasional hiccup around 2500 rpm with very slight excelleration...like from a stop light. Lots of folks had that early on and a reprogram of the vec 2 took care of most of that problem.

Zero problems here.. Just the occasional near 140MPH 1/4 romp... Some idle hang but that seemed to go away with new upstream 02's.

Could the bucking be misaligned throttle bodies?

Good luck.....

Tony - what plugs are you using? and does yours miss at all when the engines cold?

Gerald - I've heard of people drilling out the holes in the O2 sensors, have you tried this? I don't think it's the Throttle bodies being misaligned, because as soon as it warms up it runs like a ***** date (Problems disappear).

Dan - I think I'll take you up on your offer. Do you do any type of consulting. Cali. is a bit far from my neck of the woods. LOL
