Took about 2hrs total, to jack the car up...clean all four corners...and I resprayed the fender wells because they were looking a little grey...and put the car back on the ground.

I get the same results using Simple Green spray. Looks great! Can't wait until good weather to do mine again!

Looks great! I just did that this past summer. I used WD40. Worked great!!!
However, starting to get a little dusty again. Might have to do it again the summer!

I love Griot's garage stuff

I have their orbital and 3-step polish, and I have never found a better engine cleaner as well

What do you mean "resprayed the fender wells"? My are kinda like your before shots, and I would like to get them looking nice and black again.

Thanks!

I ran the V700 Kumhos for awhile and they sandblasted the fender wells...so I painted them black again. Looks alot better

i went to the local auto supply store and just bought some small scrubbing brushes. i too used simple green and used safety goggles as the brushes do tend to splatter a bit as you scrub in between all the little tight places. washed and rinsed quite a few times. did all four corners. do this every season.

believe it or not, my car has around 30,000 miles on it now!

you will find that your car is much faster too since there is less aerodynamic drag coming from all that brake dust! ;)

Just spent TWO days doing this exact same thing! Fantastic, WD 40, bearing grease , Armor All for the plastics, soap and water, Mothers mag and aluminum polish and four rolls of paper towels. What a back-breaker but well worth the effort! Nice job on your end as well.

lol...I wouldn't call myself anal.

It was just something I have been meaning to do. But with the cleaner and not much brushing (used a metal brush), it really wasn't that bad at all.

Sprayed the area once with cleaner...let it sit...spray it off...scrub where there was build up...and spray it again. The Oil and Grease cleaner did wonders! Didn't take as much effort as it looks!

I do that job every winter. Aswell as touching up any paint areas.
So that tie-rap is stock? I thought someone had put that on there on mine.
Thanks.

Did anyone look at Griot's product line? $14.99 for 10 Q-tips! I'm sorry "Foam Swabs". I think I have special cleaning TP for $2.99/square or you can have the whole roll for the low price of $299.00. Operators are standing by for your orders. :)
