SVS Turbo
Enthusiast
Before we added the e85 flex fuel sensor this 98 GTS project started with a stock engine and was complemented with the following components:
SVS headers
SVS rear mount turbo system (1 76mm GTS turbo)
Air/Air intercooler
T&D rockers w/ Manley 3/8 pushrods
SVS fuel system
Motec engine management
More can be read about the first stages here:
SVS rear mount turbo
New additions to the engine, fuel and ignition:
Ported and polished heads
JE pistons (lower compression)
SVS Turbo Cam
GM inline e85 Flex Fuel Sensor
SVS coil on plug ignition system
The e85 flex fuel sensor communicates with the Motec engine management
and makes all necessary compensations for any percentage combination of the 2 fuels. It's quite slick and will allow our customer to run 100% e85 at the pump or any combination of e85 and 93.
Our first tuning session on e85 has produced 600rwhp @ low 130's kpa (4-4.5psi) with conservative timing. e85 likes compression and it will be interesting to see the results once we start increasing the boost.
Very soon we will have a great deal of information regarding e85 testing on many different V10 engine platforms.
