Just back from a 4 day trip to Tail of the Dragon, Deals Gap, US129, What a blast I have been there several times on motorcycles but never in a car.
The first run I took it easy I was following some BMWs and my wife was trying to video tape it. That did work to well but she tried and ended up getting sick doing it so we did not tape any more the one video she shot is at video is at.

The viper turned anytime I wanted it to, even when I went in to deep I just cranked the wheel and it turned. I thought it would be best to drive it in first gear but it was hard to keep the rear tires from breaking loose exiting the turns so I ended up driving it in second and it was much easier to control the loose on exit problem. I didn’t set any record but I had a blast,
So If you get chance don't miss the trip I would go again but my mom is having her 90th birthday party that weekend. We stayed at The Riverhouse at the park in Gatlinburg. older but nice.
We ate at different places all were all right the only one I would say was exceptional was the Peddler on river road in Gatlinburg. They bring stake to the table and you decide how thick you want it cut. WE also had Chicken, Shrimp and Rainbow Trout and all was great. So if you get a chance try it out.
We did some hiking and general site seeing, Photos are at:

Funny my wife tried to tape once to though there, and got sick too.

We did the "Snake" over in Tenn, and rode the Nc, Virginia roads in the area for a few days.
I liked all those roads more then the "Gap" Area.
