DODGE VIPER
Color to Avoid: Grey. An exoticar such as a Viper is an exaggeration on wheels. It has a V10 engine. It produces 500 hp. Its logo is a fang-toothed serpent ready to spring. And, suddenly, you want to tone things down by giving this ferocious beast a grey hide? Shame.

Color to Get: Blue with White Racing Stripes. Normally, two tone paint jobs seldom work - think of a too-dark toupee affixed to a pastey-hued cranium. But the Viper is a car detined to race and, as such, in-your-face racing stripe motif works superbly well.

Yep, they are so right.

I am bias, I mean lets face it, I bought 2 grey vipers. But seriously, who considers this tone down? I actually think my Dads Black Viper is tone down compared to my grey one:

hahaha.. Larry... Larry... I said it, relative to the Grey Viper, and I bought both,(the black and the grey) so I think its ok for me to give an unbias opinion of which i think in that photo is "toned down" if I had to, thats all. Still friends :D

Hehehe, I have to say I love the blue I have and wouldn't trade for slate or silver...but they are gorgeous colors and I don't think they diminish the car in any way. In fact I think the slate color on the Viper is much nicer than the silver on the new Z06.

Color is obviously a personal matter. Why someone is coming out and saying that it is a "shame" is just plain wrong. Dark colors on curvy bodies always attract the eye. See ALL the pictures above.

Graphite with White stripes is superb, there is a nice one that sometimes turns up at Crystal Cove, gives me a soft on. But hey, I love em all.
