A buddy of mine just sent this info to me, It is called The Speed Run 2008, Apperently this is going to happen in Central Alberta sometime this summer, They are closing off 5 miles of highway and you can go as fast as possible, Suppose to be legal event. Cost is $2500.00 to run your car, Proceeds go to charity. Not sure were it is held They claim that they will have cars there that hit 400 K/H. All he gave me was this web site The Speed Run . Not sure were it is going to be held, Will keep the ears open for updates.

It's still a cool event. Brings in money for Charity which is always good.

Our BC government has the opposite atitude, all they want is your money. So tickets are going to be double fined, Lemans got kicked out (because it was good for tourism?) and they're making laws to take your car if you're speeding so they can sell it and get more of your money.

I'd like to sell my business and move back to Alberta.

Would really like to open the car up legally and in a safe environment. But $2500 is a steep price very tempting
