I don’t know if any of you have done anything to fix the heat issue that our cars come with. I’m talking about all the heat that comes in to the cabin from our exhaust and the torching hot side sills. Well I wanted to give these guys credit for their product.

I have purchased 4D, 5D, 12P, 13P(look on the web page below and refer to the diagram), which are inner sill heat deflectors and another peace that wraps around the entire exhaust pipe including cat and muffler.

Let me tell you the difference it has made!!!! It probably dropped my interior temp by 15-20 degrees and I can drive all day and get out and put my palm on the side sill and hold it there for as long as I want.

I can finally enjoy my car in the 90+ weather that we have here in northern california. I drove it around in 108 degrees for about 5 hours with my windows up and air going and i didnt feel any heat coming from anywere.

Im now going to be ordering their header sheilds which are alot better looking then the stock ones, never mind the fact that they work 20X better as well.

Check them out at http://www.atpwrap.com/viper.htm

Really nice stuff. Let me know if you have any questions.

$5K for that kit is "Viper TAx" at its finest. The solution to cooler side sills is simple. Air flow people! We run the same system on all our Viper race cars. You need to get air flowing through the side sills. Vent the side sills. You can cut the area right behind the front wheel well and replace it with Stainless steel mesh. If you are worries about looks then paint the mesh black. You can do the same with the rear portion of the side sill. Air will flow through the side sill and the temps will be significantly lower.

you guys are running your cars at high speeds with out any traffic. Try sitting in traffic with 90+ weather. I dont think youll be gitting much air flow at that point to cool things off.

Holy crap  I was thinking about getting some header shields until I saw the price. I think I can fab up a set with some inconel and sheet metal for less than half the price.

Hmmm, I think I've got another winter project.
