Any ideas?

My prelim guess: ignition switch or bad ground. (I think, if memory serves me right, VEC1 is spliced into wire bundle at computer.)

Vec. 1 on my car gets its power from a wire right off of ign. sw. The rod from the tumbler to the switch must be moving when you bring the wheel down. I would start with checking to see if ign. sw. screws are loose, if not, I'd start with replacing the switch.

Yeah, that sounds like a real good place to start.

Wanted to add the Roe Vec 1 Lambda meter also goes blank when shuts off.

Also, the colder it was overnight, the worse the problem is when first starting in morning. After some tilt wheel "workout" problem subsides.

I'm trying to remember, does the Roe splice in using the piercing wire connector? I seem to recall that maybe it does. My plans are to replace all of those with solder splices and Radio Shack Molex Power connectors if that is the case.
