Then take your car there....

What a pain in the rear!! I finally took the strut brace off, took off all of the hoses, cleaned the gasket off of the engine and put everything back on. Four and a half hours later I am filling fluids. I consider myself an above average amateur mechanic. It became so much easier when my cousin the real mechanic came over. When we were done he inspected the pump and said " This one looks fine". Sure enough we started it back up and within a 10 minutes it began to get hot again. He then said did you check the thermostat???? So guess what I am doing tommorow?

Well, at least you won't have to worry about the water pump anytime soon. :smirk:

BTW, the VCA how-to instructions on adding an air bleeder to your cooling system suggest drilling a 3/32" hole in the thermostat to allow air to get by and aid in refilling.
