Transaxel on the new SR/T??

I was at the LA auto show on sunday and read the little bill board about the new Viper. It said the Viper had a trasaxel and 500 bhp. Does any know if this is true? I try to read allmost all articles on the new Viper, this is news to me. Also 500 bhp isnt that at the rear wheels that almost 575 hp at the crank?
