Trunk Latch Question on 06' Coupe

I don't mind hitting the button twice.

I figured it was a safety feature....:dunno:
I.E... accidently hitting the rear hatch "open" button while driving....:omg:

Same problem with my 06--I just thought it was designed that way for a reason. I too will try to adjust the latch. Thanks for posting this and thanks for the info on the fix.

I agree with the other two above. I thought it was anti theft that if you think it was close but really it isn't.

My '06 coupe has had the weird trunk latch release problem since new. I've gotten used to clicking the fob twice while lifting the hatch, LOL.

I just adjusted the bump stops and fixed my vert. It took about 1 minute to fix this. Like a dummy, i never noticed the bump stops til i read this thread. Just back them out a half turn and your done.:)
