Im sure some may remember me as Twister. The site changed my password so I created yhis login name.

I have had 3 vipers. My last was a 2003 with bolt ons and a roe cam pushing 555 rwhp on the dyno...

I wanted a 2015 viper badly but also wanted an audi r8 pretty bad too.

In the end I found an audi r8 here in Hawaii that I liked and bought it.

I will miss you guys and Im sure Ill be back with my fourth viper purchase in the future.

I really loved my 2003 vert.

Unfortunately my roe racing cam was installed incorrectly. She made 555 rwhp on the dyno and then ran worse and worse till the engine locked. I sold the car with a blown engine and took a huge loss.

Was devastated. Saved up for a 2015 viper.....but got the r8

They are completely differant thats for sure lol. But I am loving the experience.

My r8 stickered for 140k in 2009 and I got it for 88k two months ago.

You can really tell its a 125 plus k car by the fit and finish and fancy bits plus viewable engine and pretty awesome handling.

On the negative side I think my 420 hp r8 and a 1994 viper would be a drivers race in the quarter mile lol.

Best specs I can find are 12.6 at 113 mph. Very similar to a gen 1 viper as far as speed.

But on the low end shes not bad 0 to 60 in 3.9 to 4.3 depending on what you read thanks to the awd. In that area she atleaste feels similar to my last stock 1999 viper.

Whats funny is I was weary of getting the r8 because they look boring in pics and I figured the viper would get far more attention.

I was wrong lol!!!!

The r8 is like rock star status. Pics and vids every where. It happenned in my yellow srt with the 2008 hood too. But not nearly as often as the r8.

In a perfect world Id have both. The 2015 viper is a street legend at this point and track star. I do miss the v10 power and it likely wont be long till Im back in a snake

Nice looking R8 Twister. Ibis White is assume? I have wanted to get an R8 since they came out. Beautiful car and color. I had the same color on my A6 and really like it. I tried to get a Q7 with it, but they no longer offered it after 2013. Ended up going with Daytona Gray Pearl instead.

I have 2 touch up kits for Ibis white. PM me if interested in them. One of them is the Lanka and the other Dr. Colorchip.

Also, if you want me to reset the password for you on the Twister account let me know.

I've had 2 Audi's, both nowhere near the lvl of yours of course. Both a6 with the 2.7l bi turbos. They were both very prone to issues so I have been weery of Audi since. How are the r8s on reliability, especially compared to a viper. Outside of the bad cam swap you had, just change the oil and go?

Ive had three vipers. They were all amazing on reliability.

The audi seems the same way. Feels like driving a regular 50k sedan as far as reliability. Just a lil 4.2 litre v8 and nice interior.

The only issues Ive read about are on the electric manual r tronic transmission.

Its basically the same e gear system found in the gallardos.

Mine seems fine but they can need servicing at just 15 to 20k miles

That's one of the issues both my Audi's had, the transmission. Different issue though, the 5 speed auto tiptronic that's in everything from Audi's to Porsche's to BMWs, factory claimed lifetime fluid never has to be changed... Unfortunately not the case. My first Audi clocked over 100k miles as my girlfriends daily driver and the transmission was done... Just make sure you change that fluid!
